From February to August 2022 I did an Erasmus exchange in computer science at Kielce University of Technology in Poland, in the middle of my degree at Gaziosmanpaşa University.
the hands-on part was networking. I worked on Cisco network infrastructure, setting up and configuring networks as real projects instead of exercises from a slide. The CCNA courses came later, from late 2025 to early 2026, but this is where the networking thread starts.
the other half was programming. I built algorithmic and system-level applications in C++ and Python, which strengthened my core programming fundamentals.
besides the technical work, it was six months of living and studying in another country.
